Craobh Chualann Classes for Term 1 shall commence on Friday 13th September. We attach a provisional draft class schedule which is subject to change. Registration is due to take place on Friday 30th August at 7pm (or 8pm for new members).
Please note that there have been some minor changes to the schedule. Ann Trainor will lead a new slower session at 7.45pm, with Grúpa Ceoil at 8.30pm and a session for Advancers at 9.15pm. It is hoped that the slower session will be useful for those currently a part of the Adult Grúpa who would prefer a slower approach to playing our regular session tunes, as well as accommodating newer members who are keen to participate, but are not as far along in their musical journey, in terms of repertoire and tempo. All tunes will be from Sets, Solos & Snippets 1. The 8.30 and 9.15 classes reflect what the adults did last year (though now at a later time) with the Grúpa Ceoil continuing to focus on perfecting our sets for future performances and also on finishing the book! Finally the Advancers session will play at an increased tempo.
For those who would like to either rent instruments or hold onto instruments for another term, we can book that during the registration process.
The proposed dates for Term 2 are as follows: 13, 20 and 27 Sep; 4, 11, 18 and 25 October; 8, 15, 22 and 29 November; 6 and 13 December.
The class rates for Term 2 (as per Term 1), are as follows: One class: €120 per term, subsequent classes are at a reduced rate. Please note that, due to the challenges faced in accessing the hall for the 7pm dance class last term, we will be charging a reduced fee of €60 for the 7pm dance class for this upcoming term and we will hope for less interruptions this term.
